At CMW I shared, Say it Straight: Create Instant Connection to Customers Through Better Writing. I discussed key components of authentic writing including:

  • Not to bury the lede to provide immediate color to your copy
  • Avoid jargon at all costs
  • Study songwriters for storytelling tips
  • Read your copy outloud!
  • Put your copy away for 24 hours; you’ll do more with it once you have some perspective
