Jason has spent the previous decade helping physician-scientists and researchers across STEM fields worldwide communicate the impact of their research. This ranges from writing and editing grants and manuscripts, peer review, and translating their work for presentation to a broad audience.

Jason completed an MS in Computer Science from Wake Forest University in 2008 with a certificate in structural and computational biophysics. He then received a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 2013 based on research targeting a spectrum of autoimmune diseases. This was followed by a year spent remodeling a house in order to let his brain heal.

He and his family are based in Durham, NC, and capitalize on their proximity to both the ocean and mountains. His wife, Kristen, is an associate professor at UNC-Chapel Hill. Their son, Hank, is 5-years old and a huge fan of garbage trucks.
