Jolie Williamson’s career in communications media spans 30 years and counting. She is a content strategist, editor, and writer in fields including health care, sustainability, and the arts. For 13 years, she served the University of Pittsburgh Office of University Communications, including as its online news managing editor. Her first media love was daily newspapers. She spent the first 16 years of her career as a reporter and editor, last serving as features editor for the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a second bachelor’s in film studies from the University of Pittsburgh. She is also a certified yoga instructor and an avid photographer. She enjoys traveling everywhere — from overseas to the nearest little town — and exploring the history of wherever she is.
