Kirsten Weir is an award-winning writer specializing in health, science and the environment. She’s written for students and scientists, patients and physicians, academics and the average person on the street. She has a knack for finding the right voice and tone for each unique client, whether she’s writing a short blog post or an in-depth feature article.

Kirsten has a B.A. in biology from Kalamazoo College and an M.A. in journalism from New York University’s Science, Health and Environmental Reporting Program. She’s written for popular newsstand magazines, trade and custom publications, professional associations and major nonprofits, in addition to a long list of top hospitals and healthcare organizations.

Kirsten says the best part of her work is getting to interview so many fascinating people, including hundreds of medical experts and scientists — and counting. When she’s not crafting content, she enjoys reading, gardening, adding to her already too-big collection of houseplants and spending time with her family (which includes a dog, a cat and a three-legged rescue turtle). She lives in Minnesota, where she spends winters hibernating and summers by the lake, loading up on vitamin D.
