Aha Media Group is seeking a freelance marketing consultant to join our growing team of remote healthcare marketing professionals. Aha Media is a leading content strategy and content marketing consultancy with deep healthcare experience. Our clients include academic medical centers, health systems, hospitals, and healthcare technology and medical device companies serving both B2B and B2C audiences.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and executing marketing strategies within the healthcare, health tech, or med tech industry. This person thrives on helping clients meet their business goals — from lead generation and brand awareness to campaign strategy, planning, and execution.

What you’ll do

As a freelance Marketing Consultant, you’ll act as a fractional marketing manager for our clients — serving as a trusted advisor and hands-on marketing partner. Working closely with the client and Aha Media’s account team, your responsibilities may include:

  • Marketing Strategy & Consulting
    • Develop comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns aligned with client business goals (lead generation, awareness, engagement, or conversions)
    • Conduct discovery sessions, competitive analyses, and channel audits
    • Create integrated marketing plans, including messaging, positioning, and audience segmentation
  • Campaign Development & Execution
    • Plan, execute, and measure multi-channel campaigns (digital advertising, email, social media, website, and content marketing)
    • Write creative briefs and ensure campaign assets align with client goals and brand voice
    • Partner with Aha Media content strategists, writers, and designers to execute campaigns
  • Account Management
    • Serve as the main marketing point of contact for assigned clients
    • Collaborate with internal project coordinators, account executives, and creative teams
    • Present strategies, plans, and performance insights to clients
  • Performance & Optimization
    • Monitor campaign metrics, assess results, and provide recommendations
    • Identify opportunities for optimization across channels and tactics
    • Support clients in building internal marketing processes and workflows, where needed

Who you are

  • An experienced marketing consultant with 5+ years of marketing management or consulting experience, preferably in healthcare (B2C or B2B)
  • Strategic and creative, with a deep understanding of digital marketing channels, campaign development, and brand positioning
  • Skilled at leading client discussions, understanding business needs, and translating them into actionable marketing plans
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with internal teams.
  • Proficient in tools like PowerPoint, Excel, Google Analytics, and common marketing automation or CRM platforms
  • A full-time freelancer with a U.S. social security or tax ID number, available for at least 10 hours/week
  • Available for virtual client meetings during standard business hours
