Executive Assistant to the President

After more than 20 years of experience supporting entrepreneurial businesses, Missy Silver joined Aha Media Group looking for a change. She quickly discovered a team that is more than the sum of its parts. “The culture at Aha Media is so warm and caring,” she says.

Missy works directly with Aha Media’s Founder and President, Ahava Leibtag. Missy’s role includes managing Ahava’s calendar and travel and assisting with recruiting and screening candidates.

She also plans events and retreats for the leadership team to gather in person. Those events are a highlight of Missy’s job. “Even though we work remotely, it’s such a close team and nurturing environment,” she says.

Missy has a degree in criminology from the University of Maryland. After college, she worked in marketing and events for Honeywell, an advanced technology company, before pivoting to the entrepreneurial path. Her experience includes helping small businesses with marketing, customer support, project management, operations, and travel and event planning.

Missy lives in the Washington, D.C., area with her husband and 2 kids. She recently adopted her first-ever dog, a mini goldendoodle, and quickly discovered that she’s a dog person. When she’s not out walking her “favorite family member,” she enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her family and friends.
