We are currently hiring for the following positions:

Account Manager

We are currently seeking an Account Manager to join our account management team. The ideal candidate will bring a consultative and strategic approach to managing client relationships, knowledge of editorial and content marketing best practices, and experience working with healthcare, health insurance or financial services clients. A successful person in this role will go above and beyond, every time.

Responsibilities

Account Management

  • Serve as the primary relationship owner of day-to-day activities for an assigned group of client accounts with responsibility for retention and growth
  • Understands and evaluates prospect and client needs and be proactive in providing solutions and building relationships
  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of the project; manages scope and deliverables
  • Go above and beyond to ensure excellent service and product quality throughout the complete client journey
  • Lead client onboarding and maintain ownership of client’s strategic preferences across all content projects
  • Acts as final internal reviewer and checks quality assurance before projects reach clients
  • Identify new opportunities from existing accounts, partnering with business development team to increase revenue
  • Stay abreast of content strategy, content marketing and copywriting best practices, sharing relevant insights with clients
  • Attends networking events and actively pursues other revenue-generating activities

Project Management

  • Coordinate with business development and editorial teams to start content production after sale as quickly as possible
  • Collects key editorial information from client and successfully communicates strategy and goals to internal teams
  • Develop effective project plans that produce high-quality work efficiently; recommend content approval workflows and other production best practices to clients
  • Assigns project deliverables to content strategists, editors and writers
  • Deliver weekly status reports to clients and be able to prepare and deliver client presentations when necessary
  • Removes blockers for team in order to get work done on schedule, whether it’s client delays or difficult to schedule stakeholders
  • Evaluate content quality and performance of editorial team members
  • Manage content creation and internal content approval workflows
  • Use digital technologies to support project management, such as Harvest, Basecamp, TeamGantt, Salesforce and Excel

Who You Are

  1. 5 years of account or project management experience ideally in a digital marketing or editorial environment
  2. Experience managing accounts of healthcare, health insurance or financial services clients
  3. Dynamic personality with a positive, can-do attitude able to work well with a variety of audiences, from executive-level clients to contractors
  4. Natural relationship-builder; you like people and people like you
  5. Excited to work in a fast-paced, decisive environment where you’ll have a lot of autonomy and be expected to be a manager of one
  6. Able to successfully work from home and travel domestically when needed
  7. Write and communicate clearly and effectively
  8. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, balancing client deliverables and timelines on multiple projects as well as internal obligations
  9. Talk the content talk, have a genuine and proactive interest in content strategy and general understanding of the marketing landscape

This is a full-time position and is 100% telework.

Writers

Our writers are at the heart of our key value proposition: excellent content that produces results for our clients. We are currently seeking to expand our team of part-time, freelance digital content writers.

These positions are 100% telework.

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Have at least 3-5 years of experience creating content specifically written for online use, such as for websites, blogs, case studies and eBooks. You need to be fluent in digital content best practices, and you must write with energy and flair.
  • Have a strong portfolio of digital content. Our specialties are healthcare, insurance, and financial services, so we’re particularly interested in seeing work you’ve done in these industries, but we would consider a writer with impressive expertise in another complex area.
  • Know how to apply SEO tools and best practices to your content. Our clients trust us to optimize their content for findability and overall performance.
  • Be practiced and comfortable with stakeholder interviews. One of our writers’ first and most important tasks is mining the knowledge of subject matter experts for those creative, juicy details that make our content so effective.
  • Be able to find your way with a site map. You need not be an information architect, but you must be able to create an easily navigable structure based on strategic inputs.
  • Use style guides. Our writers immerse themselves in style guides for consistent and coherent content.
  • Write in plain language. The hallmark of our writers is the ability to take a complex topic and make it understandable and compelling.
  • For extra credit, have video script writing experience: This would increase your relevance across the breadth of our projects!

Editors

Our editors occupy a strategic client-facing role on our projects. They ensure the quality of all content delivered to our clients, and they coach and support our writers, helping them produce content that’s aligned with the client’s goals. We are currently expanding our team of part-time, freelance editors.

These positions are 100% telework.

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Have at least 3-5 years of experience editing content for online use, such as for websites, blogs, case studies and eBooks. You must be prepared to ensure that content is readable, relevant and follows digital content best practices.
  • Have a strong portfolio of digital content you have written or edited. Our specialties are healthcare, insurance and financial services. We’re particularly interested in seeing work you’ve done in these industries. But we would consider you if you have impressive expertise in another complex industry.
  • Know how to apply SEO best practices to content. Our clients trust us to optimize their content for findability and overall performance in search.
  • Be practiced and comfortable with critiquing and coaching writers. We rely on our editors to guide and mentor writers, enabling them to produce their best possible work.
  • Be able to find your way with an information architecture (IA)/sitemap. You need not be an information architect, but you must be able to review and validate the writer’s proposed informational structure based on the overall vision, goals and scope of the content.
  • Ensure editorial excellence. You provide the quality check on all project content, ensuring adherence to style guides, factual and grammatical accuracy, and use of plain language to render complex topics clear and compelling.
  • For extra credit, have video script editing experience. This would increase your relevance across the breadth of our projects!
