Lisa Frederick has more than 20 years of experience writing for clients in a variety of industries, including healthcare, finance, law, nonprofit, and residential design/build. She began her career at J. Walter Thompson advertising in Atlanta, and worked as deputy director of communications at the USO in D.C. for several years. Lisa draws upon her advertising and marketing background every day to craft compelling content and connect with her target audience.

Originally from New Mexico, Lisa holds an MFA in English literature from North Carolina State University and a BA in English and Spanish from Davidson College. She lives in the Washington, D.C. area with her husband, son, and two daughters. When she isn’t writing or editing, she’s usually reading a book, playing volleyball, or exploring a museum in D.C.
