Leigh Heffernan
Project Coordinator
Leigh Heffernan has a long history as a multitasker. “I’ve worked at several small organizations where I had to wear many hats,” she says. “I did a lot of diving in and figuring things out.” This experience has proved valuable in Leigh’s role as Project Coordinator, where she enjoys getting to know each client’s unique needs.
Known for being organized and detail-oriented, Leigh is a people person who enjoys working with a team. She also loves learning and adopting new technologies and tools to help projects stay on track. Before joining Aha Media Group, Leigh worked for a large construction company, coordinating insurance compliance among subcontractors and leading efforts to improve cooperation and communication across the organization. She also has experience in fundraising and event planning for nonprofit organizations.
Leigh was inspired to move into healthcare marketing after helping family members navigate complex chronic medical conditions. “Healthcare is something I care about. I want to use my project management skills to make a difference,” she says.
Leigh has a bachelor’s in international relations and a master’s in management, specializing in project management, from Boston University. She lives in the Boston area, where she and her family are (slowly) renovating their 200-year-old house. Leigh describes herself as “a crazy gardener” and loves filling her big backyard with vegetables and flowers. She also enjoys skiing and exploring the outdoors with her family.
